Name: Margot Cox
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Height: 5 foot 7
Weight: 122 lbs.
Appearance:
Margot holds the look of a young girl and always has. Her age is always guessed to be between 16 and 21, which is fine with her. She is a thin girl with a medium height. She has long torso and long legs. It would seem she was born for the ballet. Blonde hair, young face, and a tall, thin body are fit for it.
She wears a lot of blacks and whites, sometimes wearing pastel colors. She likes to wear her hair down. The tight buns the ballet force her to wear give her nasty headaches, but she will braid it from time to time. People call Margot the image of a porcelain, ballerina statuette when on the stage.
Personality:
Margot is, in every essence of the word, a wall-flower. She has to learn to adapt to speaking to people, though. Dancing in front of many crowds of people and then talking to what seems like millions of people at banquets will make a person more friendly to casual conversation. She has many nervous habits and her dresses and gowns often have small, wear-marks from where she's pinches and pulls gently at the smooth fabrics. Her father used to always get onto her for that.
From the time her younger brother, Michael, was run-over by a stagecoach, she has never been the same. No, Margot wasn't always shy. In fact, before that tragic accident, she loved to talk. Her father had to excuse her that in front of guests and other various people. She misses the days when she could just go on for what seemed like hours about anything, but things have never been the same.
Wealth Status: Upper middle-class
Occupation: Ballerina
Personal Posessions: She has many posessions, but her most cherished is a small, golden bell her mother gave her when she was a baby. It had her full name, Margot Gwenevere Cox, engraved in it. When she misses her mother deathly, she rings it. It may sound silly, but that small jingle always makes her smile.
Pets: Margot has a white, short-haired cat named Rosalind.
Family:
Father: Peter Cox [missing]
Mother: Eileen Cox [deceased]
Brother: Michael Cox [deceased]
History:
Margot was born to the happy parents, Peter and Eileen Cox. She and her brother lived in a fairly nice flat in London. Her life seemed near perfect until her mother was raped and murdered while at the market. Margot was only 12 at the time. Her father left them in the care of a woman by the name of Esther Burningham. The day her father left them there and said his goodbye's was the beginning of the worst part of her life. Esther was a cruel woman. She made Michael do all the handy-work and Margot was to do the cleaning. This evil woman would whip Michael if he did not follow through with her demands completely. If he did not do every, tiny bit right, he would be thrashed with her bull-whip until he bled. Now, if Margot did not finish hers, Esther was less severe and just took away Margot's meals for that day. This made Margot sickly thin and people worried, but no one ever said a thing. No one really cared for a young, lowly, maid-girl.
One day, Esther sent Michael, who was only 12 at the time, to the market to fetch some food. On his way, he was run-over by a large stagecoach and wasn't found until hours later. Margot was sent out to find him. Esther thought Michael stopped to steal a treat at the bakery, even though Margot knew that Michael would never do such a thing. The adolescent girl found her baby brother, a crumpled-up, bloody mess in an alley they used to play in when sent to do things for their cruel caretaker. At seeing this, Margot threw up. What else was she to do in a situation like that? She carried her brother's body to the port, stood on the end of a dock, and tossed his body into the ocean. He had always wanted to be a sailor. Sadly, now she regrets it. She wishes she'd given him a more respected burial.
The 15 year old girl decided she didn't want to live with Esther anymore. She knew Esther wasn't going to storm out of her home to come find Margot. She made sure her golden bell was tucked safe in her pocket and she ran away to the ballet. She'd always wanted to be a ballerina, ever since her mother showed her some of the dances she'd learned when she was in the ballet. Skeffington Theatre was reluctant to take her in, but after she danced for them, they decided to let her stay. A kind, anonymous, rich family paid for her room and board and she has been dancing in the ballet since. Ten years ago, she finally took hold of her life.
